Spark? back on the ledge -he was squeaking - standing following someone with his eyes - I keep expecting to see someone fly by or land - - such a nice clear day today with temps in the 70's - strange mild temp for August

Hello SGB - I was typing my last post and went back to check Spark out and he was gone - unless he went out of sight of the cam like he did a little earlier. He has been coming and going - perhaps he will return with his beloved

Bonding in the nest this morning - I believe it was Spark - he was just sitting up against the back corder of the nest box while Durand faced him - both were squeaking then finally Spark decided to move closer to Durand and they began bonding with the bowing to each other and talking to one another. Then I believe it was Durand decided that was enough and quickly departed leaving Spark on the ledge. I was hoping he would come down towards the cam to verify his band number but so far he is hanging out close to the nest box.

Awesome to see these two again! During these summer doldrums it is always great to see out peregrine family!!

I got my new binoculars for my office desk today, I will be keeping a lookout for the fledglings and the parents! I have a great view of the southwest riverfront of downtown, so perhaps I'll be able to see something!

I do wonder if the fledglings are still around. I've looked all over downtown but haven't seen anything..

This is the first I've personally seen of anyone at my best nest. I know they arent' great captures but then Durand or Spark weren't giving me much to work with. LOL

Hey Beth, I am sorry I am just now seeing your post from Sunday morning - so you think this is a juvie- that is so exciting to hear that one of them could still be around the downtown area. Makes me want to watch closer the next time that I am downtown - tomorrow (Tuesday) thank you for watching so early on a Sunday morning :hapdance:

Squeaking from now I think it is Spark - he is in the nest box - perhaps he sees Durand?

Don't know who it was, but got a couple pictures of them leaving. I am thinking Spark since it didn't look like the "D" dive.

Just saw a peregrine gliding around near the waterfront outside my work! I saw them through my binoculars, I did nap a picture by putting my phone up to the lense, but it's cumbersome and certainly not very good, some won't post it (kinda just looks like a black blob against the sky). Even with the binoculars I couldn't tell if it was an adult or juvie. It was making circles in the sky and headed toward the statehouse area and out of view. I'll keep my eyes open for more!!
