Well, I think there was canoodling on the ledge just now, however, the cam is such that the act could not be properly viewed - just the sound of the two falcons - bummer!!

Good morning SGB - thank you for the confirmation of the canoodling on the ledge this morning - I think - not sure - breakfast was brought up to the ledge but was quickly taken away when Spark? could did not find Durand on the ledge to receive his gift.
Happy Friday!!

Beautiful bonding in the nest just now - Durand bowing to Spark - I know he wanted to give he love a kiss - :-) - then while Durand was in the box bowing - Spark left the box and flew off - hmmm - maybe he will be back with a late breakfast treat for his love?

I love these mornings - Durand and Spark have been coming to the ledge so often and it is great to start off my day knowing they are safe and so active. The cam is jumpy this moprning - I just want to make sure is 32B Spark? - just when I zone in on the band number it blinks and it is gone. Thanks
:7val: :newsnow:

Too bad you can't see the snow on the ground - it is really quite pretty

Rosek, I love your morning reports. Sweet way to greet the day :1val: In answer to your question, Spark is 32B, black over red with a purple R leg band. Durand is 32X, solid black with a silver R leg band. How ironic that these two have the same number. They were meant to be together :flirty:

Food gift and a good look at Spark's bands...

Not sure if Durand was thanking him, complaining that it wasn't fresh enough, or telling him she would have preferred a canoodle...LOL

There is some chupping and bowing right now!! Durand is in the beatbox and scraping. Spark is on the ledge, reluctant to jump in and bond. They are just too sweet!!

:15val: So ODNR and 10TV down. Somehow I have it in my head she may lay earlier this year ... hope we don't miss it ... :8val: OH, I saw my first live canoodle doodle this evening just before the sun set as I was driving down a very busy avenue. I pulled off the road and into a hospital parking lot and even got out of the car to see which bird of prey it was ... but, the colors weren't coming through ... was in the very top of a tall tree and could only narrow it down to a hawk or peregrine falcon ... :teehee: In light of my recent accident ... I probably need to keep my eyes on the road instead of the treetops ...

I have feared, since hearing that they would no longer be banding the chicks here, that it was just a matter of time before they would stop monitoring the falcons as much and eliminate the webcams too eventually. Gosh, I hope that I'm wrong, though. This nest has always been in my top 3 favorites.

Well, if Donna has anything to do with the falcons and the cams, we will still have them...I'm not sure how much streaming these cams cost, but I could see that $$$ could become a factor...with any of these cams...I think that's why some places are streaming via free services, like Angelcam...Ustream used to have a "free" option...not sure about that anymore..maybe they do...I can't imagine how places like Eagles4kids could afford things...its a school!! I think YouTube streaming is still free...I haven't researched that since last year..

Anyway, just for fun I decided to email the address we are seeing on the cam error message: support@ohiochannel.org..

Hope that doesn't create an issue...

Since we've been without cams all weekend I thought I'd post the last screen cap that I have saved.
