Dad is on the nest with Mom and he's picking up scraps of food. Mom let Dad have a peek at the chicks, but Mom is blocking our view... I think I did see a little crop on one of the chicks.

9:46am Dad flies off.

Nest looks like it was prepped well for the storms, I did see one little one try to explore - but Mom sat right back down on him.

You can see there's a lot of food in front of the osplets... that missed! But they both have nice little crops!
Mom is still learning to make smaller-bite-sized pieces!

Luckily the O’s dodged a bullet last night. I hope our local Peregrines were able to ride out the storm as well. The really, really bad winds came through about 25 miles south of the O’s nest (with a confirmed tornado). Over 3“ of rain came down in less than a 2 hour period during the storm at the nest site.

As of Thursday 6/23/16:
Chick #1 - Egg #1 - Laid May 06 - Hatched June 16 - 41 Days to hatching - 7 days old today
---------- - Egg #2 - Laid May 09 - Not hatched yet - Today is day 45 - egg fully intact no visible pip
Chick #2 - Egg #3 - Laid May 12 - Hatched June 19 - 38 Days to hatching - 4 days old today

65–85 mph winds...

So glad the O's are ok!!! That is a lot of rain in a short

Thanks sky! I can't tell you often I check out this flashing red nest @ night! The red downpour last night was beautiful! I think it's unbelievable they would build a nest @ this site. Wonder what the kids will think when they leave the nest and they discover the sky really doesn't flash @ night? :teehee:

Situation at the nest??
>parent is gone for a good amount of time.
>parent comes in very fast and vocal, leaves quickly?
>stick has been moved to middle/dropped in the nest?
>kids look hot :(
