Yes, Niecey in the box now. Didn't see the change. We need to petition for a better nestbox, with a cover for protection from snow and rain and also the sun. :girlyes:

The ledge IS under cover. If the snow was coming straight down it probably wouldn't go in the scrape. However, it's coming from the east, and the strong winds haven't really started yet.

Not completely sure, but Little Dad may have just made a food delivery. Had the cam on in the background and could only hear him chattering and Niecey getting off the eggs. Little Dad is on them now.

I feel so badly for Niecey sitting in snow. I know they have the down feathers that help keep them warm, but I still wish she wasn't in all that snow.

Well, despite the conditions, Niecey is looking rather content. There's a link to a Bald Eagle nest in Hanover, PA on the DEP website. Those eagles are enduring similar if not slightly worse conditions than our Peregrines.

Maybe time to switch duties? She should be ready to settle in for the night. At least the snow is stopping but the wind is horrible. :coldwinter:

I was sitting here bummed out over poor Niecey on the nest knowing the temps will be frigid again tonight when I looked at your photos loza and saw the canoodle shots and was like whaaatt? They have time and desire for this during the terrible storm? 3snowflake:

Seriously though, I pray they are safe overnight. Sweet little Niecey.

Yes, those are GREAT pictures, Loza. Thanks for posting them. It has started snowing again here, but it's coming from the west, which would mean it's hitting the side of the building over toward the U. Hopefully there won't be any more snow in the scrape, but now the wind is REALLY blowing here.
