Neither parent is home. Temp is 56 degrees F so not too bad.... Kids are in a pile ...EDIT... Moxie came with prey 20 minutes ago. Everybody is being fed.... :biggrin:

Another windy day in Fort Wayne. Mom is protecting her little ones from the wind with her wings, but one little explorer has poked his head out from under her....

Oh my gosh these guys are active today. Moxie is trying to keep them warm in her wings. She tries to bring them in close, but the whole bunch is moving around and then one decides to flap their wings tipping mom over into a near face flop....

Moxie just brought in prey and the little ones are grabbing bites as quickly as she can pull them off. Any word about banding days for these guys and South Bend?

When I got on this morning, Moxie was there with the kids. I took the cam back, and when it was still very dark the kids were alone sleeping in the nestbox. When it was just beginning to get lighter, Moxie came in with prey. She fed them a long time, and took the prey away. She is back, but the kids seem restless. I notice some have a good crop but one doesn’t. Moxie keeps looking out. DEF, you may be right- where’s Jamie?

Moxie’s crop area is flat. She probably has been so busy feeding the kids she isn’t taking enough for herself...
