I had a few things to take care of downtown this morning, and was able to do some very BRIEF falcon watching. Little Dad as on the roof of 333 Market when I got there, but he relocated to the balcony railing above the nest ledge. Never saw Niecey, but I know she was sprawled out in the scrape for some of the time. And just now watched a feeding out on the ledge. Before that feeding, one of the chicks was attempting to feed itself in the scrape. Possible tail feathers of a Black-billed Cuckoo are in the scrape. Not completely sure about that.

Thanks for the pictures, Loza. Four chicks are sacked out by the window, and Niecey on the point acting normal. A bit ago she was doing her "moonwalking" again, rubbing herself backwards and forwards at the end of the ledge. She certainly has her moments.

I missed seeing Lil Dad tonight. See the view of his cam is gone now to show more of the ledge I guess. Niecey is on the shield and 1 of the chicks is lying on the the edge of the nest and the other 3 are just outside the nest.

Wow, a canoodle in front of the children! I've not seen either adult yet this morning. Chicks are at various places on the ledge. Just learned that one of Red Girl's kids fledged this morning. No details.

Right now all the chicks are resting with 1 in the nest and 3 within the shade of the orange pole. Can not see Niecey or Lil Dad at this time.

The chicks are screaming like they see a parent. I hope so.

One flapping and running . Parents need to be close by. Since the cameras are moved we can't see the camera perch. Hope lunch arrives soon.

I didn't see it, but a friend posted pictures of three separate feedings somewhere around 12:30. One of the feedings was on the point, and the other near the orange post I forget where the third one was.

I'd say from the mess on the ledge they have eaten. It's fun to watch them when they get the feathers and do their feather dances. LOL

Very sad news from Wilmington. One of Red Girl's kids fledged successfully this morning. However, some timethis afternoon it was struck and killed by a car. :-(

It was very sad news Jane, it has really bothered me. I keep thinking of the thrill of his 1st flight and to have it end this way ...

Canoodle at 8:19 while Niecey is on the point. Saw Lil Dad flying in from afar and thought he was going to land, but he had other ideas. Two of the chicks were in the nest and two were just outside of it. I don't know where Lil Dad flew to afterwards. I've been watching Niecey off and on for some time and she flew at about 8:56 and I went to the stick cam and guess who was on the stick ... Lil Dad! She had flown to the front shield. Lil Dad flew at 8:57 and Niecey moved to the rear shield. The chicks are still in the same positions as I leave.

OH, how heartbreaking. So, so sorry for the loss. And for Red Girl, who got them to this point only to lose one. I sure hope the others stay safe.

:sorrow:

I try not to get attached anymore, but it doesn't really work.

Two of them look so much darker with the feathers coming in all of a sudden this morning ... didn't it just happen this morning? :teehee:
