The buffy chested gal from last season and from this season are not banded and I still wonder if they are one and the same. Great clear capture above of the Delaware gal, Carolyn!! I am absolutely amazed at her transformation from last year, although those speckles on her chest and cheeks may clear even more in the future!! Keep hoping we will get an update from them here soon.

Della is from Delaware - she appears to have won the March 8 fighting
She is just a kid - age 2, hatched June 4th, 2018

Evidently there is no IR here so we cant see inside the box at all during the night

First thing as I turn on the cam, two birds on the ledge having a tug-a-war. He left with the food and she followed then returned then left again.

this is normal shep. It is just part of their ritual.[ Our biologist says it is just part of a training of how to train , mating ritual etc. that is why , sometimes, if a new male comes in after defeating another male, sometimes weeks later( female may even have an egg or two ), the female is now on a different cycle. the male still does this and watchers think he is being cheeky or stealing her food. He is just at beginning of his cycle]
Here we have to assume he is starting all over again with her. But we do not really know if she has been here earlier ( no cam) or just getting back from winter, and claiming what she claimed last year.
does this make sense.

I do not believe this is over yet. sh e has been in and out most of last hour , agitated and looking and yaping and flying out and in. and it is not to get mal e in.
