Feed has just started....Currently blocked, so hard to see. It appears that baby is getting some bites. Hopefully, I'll get a look after its over.

Dad arriving almost immediately. I really couldn't tell if Baby got anything. I know there were 2 bites of feathers...LOL

A concern I have for this family is the scheduled implosion of One James River Plaza office tower that is 21 stories located at 701 E. Cary 2 weeks from today on May 30th in the early morning. Don't know if the pandemic has delayed this in any manner. Can not find any info since about March. If there is a delay for weather, wind, etc they plan on imploding the next day. Last plans I could see were the exclusion zone is to be 1 block in any direction. From what I could see on map it is 0.3 miles or 5 minutes walking distance from this nest. So it is closer as the "crow flies". I know where the chick will be during this, but where will the parents be? Just worried about what the effects will be here ...

It definitely is a concern. Maybe obxbarb would have the latest info.

I would imagine it would be akin to July 4th fireworks...but, not as bad. I always dread that date....

Right now I'm just happy we had a feed and 1/2!!!

I hope you are right, sky. But fireworks don't billow out dust and debris as an implosion of a building. Just hope it does not cause them any ill effects.

I have been concerned too. I can only assume the biologists are looking out for the peregrines when it happens. I think I posted the article a while ago, but haven't seen anything. It is the Dominion building they used to nest in and perch on across the street.
