I can't even imagine the little dear ending up of the freeway. And really amazed that the police stopped traffic for the rescue. Good on them.

Finally, Mom on the parapet next to the building! Her head started bobbing and you could tell she was watching something, then talking. Dad landed at 2013 and down immediately in front of the nest. They talk, then she headed down the parapet and he hopped into the nest and she hopped down in front of it. I got COD and when it stopped, she was in the nest alone and he was gone. Tried going out and back in and got a black screen with COD. Finally able to get back in at 8:18 and Mom was in nest pebble-picking and chewing on the wood trim of the nest box. Eventually she went to the parapet with COD in between and gone, although I actually did not see her leave. But darn glad I saw them, finally!!

I got lucky and caught Dad Sunday evening.

Dad is splayed in the nest panting! At 17:59, he went to the parapet. He flew at 1800.

Mom is preening on the roof! At 1830, she hopped down to the structure behind the nest and shortly popped up to the parapet. A minute later went to stand in front of the nest a bit, then up into it. She's digging out the bowl Dad was splayed in earlier. She stood in it for awhile. Then checking out other parts of the nest. Pebble-picking and chewing on the rim. More bowl digging. More chewing. At 18:44 to the lip, then parapet and then behind the nest. At 18:45, to the parapet. Three minutes later, back to the roof. 1902, Dad arrived to the parapet and then down in front of the nest and she hopped down behind the nest. He is talking. COD. Then they magically appear in the nest at 19:08 bowing and talking. 1909, Dad to the lip and flew. She stood awhile, then digging in the bowl again. More chewing and pebble-picking and bowl digging. At 19:21, out of the nest and to the parapet looking around and talking for awhile and then walks down and out of sight, but at the last second you could see just her wings flap and she went upwards still following the direction of the parapet.

Mom's here. Came in and she was on the parapet and then down in front of the nest. She just went in the nest at 20:24 and started digging again. Have to leave now, so won't be able to follow this visit.

Don't miss the Wildlife Center of Virginia update above, but is anyone else having problems getting the cam? I'm getting HDonTap screen with: "Oops! The Livestream Is Unavailable On This Website" Then below it says "View Livestream" and when I enter I'm getting a message that starts: "Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from blog.wildlife.virginia.gov (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). I've never seen this previously.
