The plot thickens! From under Lady Hawk's video taken last night:

"This season has been unprecedented in so many ways! Tonight at 8:21 PM Harriet flew in from the west pasture and landed on the nest. She laid down for the first time this season since she was brooding E15 & E16! It is likely she is with egg at this time and will be getting ready to lay it within the upcoming days. Interestingly, Harriet chose to come back to her original nest tonight to sleep! Things are getting exciting now and it is looks very promising that our Mom to be will be laying her eggs here in this nest! Talons crossed! I know M will be very happy with this news! Thank you for watching!"

12:39p Soft shelled turtle on drain rocks. 12:42p Osprey dives in pond for a fish scattering flock of egrets, gets the fish. 12:41p one adult in nest 2 maybe and one adult perched on branch right of the nest.

6:25p Night has H/M on the front pine. Day starts with a stick to nest 1, spread nesting, then on to nest 2 to work. H brought a fish, ate it on nest 1 then a bath at the pond. Food Today: Fish/Partial Fish-1. Sleep safe eagle family.

5:42p GBH (Great Blue Heron) on pond bank with Cattle egrets. 5:45p Adult flies to Nest 2 tree from across the road. 5:47p The other adult flies into the Nest2.

At 6:15 they are side by side in the front pine.

6:30p Morning brought Harriet and M15 to nest 1 with grass and sticks then off for the day and in and out of nest 2. Nightfall they flew from the west to the front pine. No food was delivered today. Sleep safe eagle family.

2:00p Adult on summer pine, both may be there. 2:10p Pond life; Dragonfly on rope at pond, fish swim by below. Cattle Egret and a Great Egret forage and troll.

There was a 2 y/o and a sub adult on the nest at 5:14 tonight. Also the mod said a 3y/o was at the pond today. The juvie is spending the night in the upper nest tree with Ma on the attic at 22:30.

7:50p M15 is now in the West pasture, Harriet on the attic, the juvenile is in a treetop branch and the sub-adult is perched on the front drive snag. Food Today: Prey-1 (rabbit).

8:55a M flies NE. 9:45a H still on the attic, vocal at times, preening.

11:11a H on U branch, rain begins and stops. 12:30p Anhinga swims to shore with a fish. 12:41p H flies from U branch into the pasture NW. Food Today: Prey-1 (opossum).

2:14p ish M flies from the CSPS to outer attic, drops to outer lower branch. 3:21p Vocal and watching. 3:23p Flies off into the pasture NNW.

6:28p The a.m. began with M escorting visitors away, sticks/grasses were brought to both nests. Night finds them perched on the outer attic together. Food Today: Prey-1 (opossum) to nest 1. Sleep safe eagle family.

M15 flew toward the front pine area at 9:44 pm after something seemed to catch his attention while still on the outer attic, but nothing seen from the pond cam.

M15 returned to the nest area at 22:43 from the right and Harriet alerted and he responded vocally, then he flew to the outer attic beside her and they alerted and settled down. They remain side by side on the outer attic at 22:55.

at midnight there are 4 eagles in the nest tree, Harriet and M15 on their branches and two high above them, they appear to be younger eagles.

there was a young one at pond today when Harriet was there. maybe both of their young. no wonder they have another nest. Do not have timeto post a photo but I am sure lady Hawk will

Unusual to see a square in nature, but it looks as if they are laying a foundation for a house in the nest at this point in time. Both seen this morning. Mod updates:

11:39a M drops from treetop to the nest, veranda, outer lower branch. 11:48a M flies off East and soars SE out of sight.

6:30p Night brought a close to a day of nest materials being brought in, nest bowl testing, perching at nest 1 and time spent at nest 2. Both perch on outer attic. No food was delivered today. Sleep safe eagle family.

Harriet and M15 remained perched on the outer attic at 6:49 pm.

10:42a M found nestovers to nibble on, then to outer attic via veranda. 10:49a M flew off the outer attic, across the street. 10:56a H finishes eating, goes to the veranda, feaks , then flies up to the attic and on to the outer branch.

6:30pm. Moon light sines on a perfect night after a day of nest building, eating, and bonding. H and M are roosting on the treetop perch. Food Today: Fish/Partial Fish-1; Prey-2(road kill mammals) Sleep safely Eagle Family.

:8turkey:

At 18:02, it seems Harriet and M15 had a visitor fly by the nest tree and it looked large enough to be an eagle. M15 was having none of it and took off from the outer attic as did Harriet shortly thereafter. Can see the visitor and takeoffs from the pond cam and Harriet and M15's reactions and takeoffs from cam 1. Glad they have cam 1 focused on the nest tonight, just in case Harriet has any business to take care of. Think she usually spends a few nights in the nest before she lays an egg, but you never know. No "Christmas Chicks" this year though. Maybe d/t their prolonged previous nesting season.

At 22:41, Harriet left the treetop perch and flew toward the right offscreen per the pond cam. She returned, but to the nest a couple minutes later and alerted. Eventually she aerated and Pa left the treetop and joined her on the nest and moved a stick. One by one they left the nest. Eventually, they both ended up on the outer attic where they remain at 01:25 am.

Given the fact that is on the east coast and the colour of it's upper breast, I go with F.p. Anatum. From what I read on the Facebook (?) page it is a first for that location.
