Not sure what to think about this. I am very glad they were banded as I wanted Lil Dad's chick or 2 chicks to be banded in case they showed up at a nest site in years to come. But, I didn't pay as much attention to who was who after hatched as we have been told repeatedly they would not be banded this year. It's the one thing I do not like about this site as things are "top secret" except for those "in the know". I feel a little foolish right now for taking the time to post what I saw earlier, but at least I was able to recognize the threat could be coming from the inside. As I never saw a human, I have to assume that unfortunately I arrived to the party late as in right after they were banded ...

I have been a volunteer fledge watcher in Harrisburg for MANY years. I did not know that there was going to be banding today, and even if I had known, I would not have posted anything until after it was done and posted officially. I try to share things on here that are factual. As I said, I certainly am not official. I'm a retired teacher! In the past some things have been posted on here which were not accurate. It is better to wait for official posts. The folks at DEP have been overly kind to those of us who volunteer. And they have jobs to do besides sharing falcon information. Hope this makes sense.

I'm just happy they got to band them....AND that we got the band numbers for our records!!! That doesn't always happen...

jane...you do a great job volunteering...and you guys are going to have your hands full with 3 males zipping around!!!

Time to change the cameras again. Looks like the like it by the orange pole. Rather there instead around the big column.

Thanks SGB. I am one of many, but most don't post on here but instead on Facebook. I am happy that the chicks are favoring the orange post instead of over near the column. Watching one try to go around that thing from the ground is heart stopping. Not sure if the view will be changed, as the person who does that is working from home. There are not a lot of people working inside the Carson Building right now.

I'm not sure which of the boys was in the scrape with Niecey, but I did see white feet. Couldn't see the right leg. Very obvious standing next to Niecey with her yellow feet. Foot color means nothing. It's just one of those things.

11:55 2 in the nest with mom and one by the orange pole. You can really se their feathers coming in. The one in the nest even has a brown spot on his face.

Feed in progress by Niecey on the ledge and 85 on the point. Notice the youngest has a habit of taking a hunk of the prey, then goes away from the group to eat it in peace. Feed over and Niecey left and a couple minutes later, so did 85.

i also watched that feeding. Not too long after it all three went into the scrape, and are still there as I type this. First I've seen all three in there since banding. They are all panting from the heat. 88 degrees here now.
