I miss stuff going back and forth from cam to here. But why did they leave a hunk uneaten on the floor of the pen and when she came back holding food in her beak, they didn't offer to come back out of the nest as hungry as they are?

Chick came out to retrieve hunk on floor. Don't see Mom now, hope she made it out of there as it was way too tight of a squeeze. I can't see the right front, corner area of the pen, but hoping she is not stuck there. Chick just stopped eating and looked in that direction. And it looked again. Hoping they will pull the cam out further for view of whole area as parents are reacting differently from what I have seen in past as this is their 1st time.

Cam is jumping forward as chick suddenly appeared back in nest for me without walking in.

They zoomed back in so I'm not sure how the transfer happened. (I think on the side) I'm guessing it was mom...needless to say, food fight followed.

Little (not so little) one was the winner...but, it exchanged beaks several times once back in the box.

Another feed...and thankfully on the right end. this feed lasted about 10 minutes..and really was only attended by 2!! Mom is still on high alert. When they zoomed the cam back out initially, not only did it completely freak her out, but by freaking her out, it freaked me out. She left...but, eventually came back.

Not sure where Mom found the roast.

She fed as fast as she could...and even ate some herself..

Right before she left..stage right...the cam still freaking her out..

I sure hope Dad doesn't shy away...he's always loved feeding the kids..
