The girls were the first out...

Boys joined them and it was a blur of flapping wings.

I think this is Blue trying to bathe..

Fun is over. 4 wet chicks in the box.

Mom stopped by a few minutes ago. Started out as an organized feed..then the two girls got two nice sized pieces. No time for pics.

Have just watched another one fly upward to the top of the pen. They do it many times a day. Hoping this repeated exercise in a tight space is beneficial for lift when they fledge and really need it!

Did it break? A parent arrived to the ledge and left as the noise from the device scared it off. Then the parent flying about. What a shame ... it broke!! Since I have been here this morning, Orange girl has remained in the rear of the nest and most of the time with her back to us. She is certainly the most timid of the bunch it seems. The others have been out and about in the pen and some flying up, but always returning to the lip. At about 9:37, I got COD and refreshed and boom, the cam is offline.

Maybe they can go back to the frozen water bottle trick. that was always fun to watch.

Think I would just open it the old fashioned way ... manually and secure the door, so it doesn't flap in the wind and get out of there and let the tail go with the hide!

Opening at 10:12 real time! OMG, Blue flew right on out of there, no looking back at 10:14!! Hope they pull the cam back, so we can see more.
