Grace is still shading her. Maybe she doesn't understand that she's dead.

my heart has broken so many time this year but I follow thi s faithfully and I am just broken.

I have not been able to post much las t few weeks, wit keeping my 5 sites in check, but some cams I just keep up.
Poor Grace. She knows . she just wants to keep her shielded. We have seen thi s before.
I know the cam ops and others are very saddened also.

Grace is shading her deceased daughter's body from the sun today, too.

Don't know what's going on. Grace was in a hurry and hopped up on the ledge (I thought she missed seeing her son fledge), walked back the forth, and then took off. 10 minutes later, the little boy came walking over to the ledge. I can't see the nestbox cause the cam operator doesn't have the cam directed there.

It would be helpful to have the nest cam on the box. It appears that either the boy had fledged or he went to the box for shade.

At first I was freeked out because I thought this capture showed 2 juvies, but the one on the ledge is a parent.

such a sad but tucking thing to see. Clara did the same thing with her deceased female a few years ago.

What a shame. They hatched late and probably hotter than usual, and this site does not interfere, which is part of the reason I don't follow anymore. I will never get over Clara, but my heart aches for Grace too and her poor little chick.
