According to Kate St John’s “Outside My Window”, We have 3 hatches at COL!

You can't see it from the video, but she stuffed the youngest one. He kept on eating! The one I didn't see get any was the oldest one, but then he didn't have his mouth open either. He must have filled up on a previous feed this morning!

Tsusan....I just emailed Kate St John a little while ago. Hopefully we will hear back from her soon! 2 of the chicks are 3 days older than Moxie's and the last one is the same age. So i hope they are going to do it soon. I hate to see them not get banded because they waited too long!

- the live stream is off, but the refresh can shows an empty nest, with the shadow of an angry mom! Now Carla is leaping into the nest- I can only imagine the noise! :hapdance:

I got the message 1/2 hour after I got up. No time was mentioned. They normally give a few days notice on when they will be banding, but not this year. Thanks for your coverage! :clap:

Yes, a surprise for me, too. The stream was already off when I checked the cam. I guess today’s weatherisa concern for them. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected, so they needed to do the banding quickly.

Kate St John has some more banding pictures up on “Outside My Window” for Carla and Ecco’s kids…. Band numbers were not given, but they did say there are two girls and a boy. The first girl will have yellow tape on her band, the second girl will have blue tape on her band, and the boy will have green on his band. Asked about names, Kate St. John said it is the policy of the PA Game Commission not to name wild birds…
