MOVING DAY!
October 15, 2025 HOT
Chick 1 was panting, so HOT, it walked toward the gutter / shade.
Dad comes bringing supper, but too HOT to feed the babies!
Chicks were literally gasping for air.
Then Mum herded em all down into cooler gutter.
Babies seemed willing - more or less ...

Altho this looked like a life or death situation, it was still a lil humorous!

The older 2 got up into the far nestbox.
The baby couldnt make it, and appears to be missing feedings.
Overnite Oct 18-19 Mom broods it in the gutter to keep it warm on a cool night.

I havent seen the smallest chick fed til today. He still hasnt been able to climb up into the far nest. Today I saw Mom feed him.

As Shep said the smallest one was fed today. What the postings in facebook said the little one is being fed, but not as much as the others. Yesterday he had 2 feedings that we know of. He had 2 feeds today, at least. I didn't catch it in my video, but Mom was feeding the little one and the 2 in the nest hopped down to feed. :leafthumb:

Little is still in the gutter. Big Sis came down with him for awhile. I'm starting to think Little is male and the other 2 females. Just a guess.

Cat, I think little King is getting fed plenty!

They all strolled down to Gutter Center then back.
I am SURE he could climb into box if he wanted to.

Little King with great and clumsy effort climbed up into the nestbox with the queens.

He is getting his black wing tips!

The 3 kids marched on down to the south nest today.
The leader is HUGE - looks like a wrestler! A lot more black feathers showing now, and they are wingercising.

Little King followed his sisters.

Dad came and fed them. BIG Sis tried to self feed, and he gave her only.
Then Mom came vocalizing and Dad left.
