Wayne State falcons cam is live. Right now, we only have the “south view” choice. However the nest is on the north side of the nest site, and I don’t see a link to the “north view cam” . I went to YouTube and asked for the North view cam, and found it. Can the link to both the North cam and the South can be added to Wayne State’s information on the BCAW forum?

Wayne State- well, how about that! I opened the cam and there is Lillie checking out the nest area and then she hops up on the railing to preen a bit. It’s a balmy 57 degrees F in Detroit, probably puts her in the mood for spring! Thanks for adding the cam, Beth!

12-23-2025 Falcon update

We have recently learned some sad news about our young male fledgling from this year. Dash died from West Nile Virus (WNV) but we don’t have any further details. As you may recall, Dash was small, even for a male. He fledged early and ended up on the ground without injury and then went to “flight school” at Wildside Rehabilitation and Education Center. Things did not go smoothly when he returned home, and he was quickly grounded again.

We have not heard anything about Dot, so hopefully she is well and thriving. Kewpee and Rebecca are often seen in the nest box. Kewpee typically perches on its edge, watching over the surrounding area.

Also a 2nd webcam that I don't always watch but good on off-season.
