Bev, Go to page 21 and scroll down to find Loza's 6 pics she posted on Fri Jan, 18 2019 12:06pm. Look @ pics 2, 3, 4 that shows the right beak and you will see the gray area on the side portion of the upper beak and the gray area of the most distal tip of the upper beak. There's also a tiny gray area on the side of lower beak. Then look @ pic 5 that shows the left beak. It also has a gray area on the side of the upper beak. This is how I identify her for now. Wonder if it may be remnants of her black beak from her youth, but it works for now. Ways other people identify her is the speckling on each side of her head. When her chest and head are facing you, some see an inverted "U" or "V" in the feather line between the neck and chest. But me, I see an upright "M", so there you go, we all perceive and express things differently sometimes that we see. Then go to page 19 and scroll down to Ferenz's pics posted on Tues Jan 15, 2019 10:47am. In pics 1 and 2 you can find all of the suggestions previous. Hope this helps!! :teehee:

thank you

and we have our guy back from a few days ago. he jsu t flew off but I think from jan19 . they mus t just travel around and if they find nothing else ,com e back and see i f nest is free :girlcrazy:

Good grief...that is the same speckled guy that 1st showed up on Jan 19th. Great pics Bev. Head speckling, beak coloring, and tail markings confirm it's him. He is still around. Many others may be as well. I suppose that without an established territorial nesting pair, the Hamlet has become a playground for the eagles.

One visitor looks like Specks!
One visitor has a white Scar on his chest
Scar fluffed the nest

Late visitor is NOT Specks

She just vocalized and a male flew into the nest. She joined him. Not the speckled male. Not sure who this boy is. A2 flew off.

226 pm - A2 (left) and a male.

Bev, I think you're right. When did he show up? I was at work all week and not sure of all the visiting eagles that were coming and going, but it does look like him.

I think he came in on Jan 15th. I recall watching a video of an eagle with a dark tail and here it is from Jan 15. Courtesy of Ladyhawk The video statement indicates that the 2nd eagle that joins this male in the video is not A2, but I do not agree with that. It sure looks like her. I get the impression that all these eagles are just milling around the area. I think Bev is correct in that this is what we will see here, as there is no real intent to nest at this point. A2 has been consistent though in her presence.

Here is a side by side comparison. I believe it is the same guy, right down to the little white mark under his beak.
